Art by Jonathan W. Gemmell, Thank you for visiting Art by me JWG, the online gallery of Melbourne contemporary artist Jonathan W. Gemmell. Each artwork is created with care and offered directly from the artist’s studio. The following policies are designed to ensure a clear and professional experience for collectors purchasing original artwork.

Original Artwork Policy

All artworks available through this website are original, one-of-a-kind paintings created by Jonathan W. Gemmell.

Due to the unique nature of original artwork and the specialised packaging required for safe transport, original artworks are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

As a small independent artist business, shipping artworks back and forth carries a significant risk of damage. For this reason, all original artwork sales are considered final once purchased.

If you are unable to view the artwork in person, I encourage collectors to contact me prior to purchasing. I am more than happy to provide:

• Additional photos of the artwork
• Close-up images of texture and detail
• Video walkthroughs of the painting
• Scale references for interior spaces
• A digital preview placing the artwork onto your wall

If you send a photo of your wall or room, I can create a visual mock-up so you can see how the artwork will look in your space.

My goal is to ensure purchasing an original artwork feels exciting, confident, and enjoyable.

Shipping & Delivery

Original artworks are carefully packaged using professional art packaging materials to ensure they arrive safely, Internationally they are shipped rolled in a tube for safety of artwork.

Shipping is available within Australia and internationally.

Delivery times may vary depending on location, but typical timeframes are:

• Australia: 3–10 business days
• International: 7–21 business days

All artworks are shipped with appropriate protection to minimise the risk of damage during transit.

Collectors will receive shipping confirmation once their artwork has been dispatched.

Damaged in Transit

In the rare event that artwork is damaged during shipping, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the packaging and artwork.

This allows us to work with the shipping provider to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Most of the time if the artwork were to arrive damaged i would ship it back and fix the issue.

Authenticity Guarantee

Every original artwork purchased from Art by JWG is guaranteed to be an authentic, original painting by Jonathan W. Gemmell.

Each artwork includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity, confirming:

• The artist
• Title of the artwork
• Dimensions
• Year of creation

This certificate verifies the artwork as a genuine piece within the artist’s body of work.

Artwork Care

Original artworks are created using professional-quality materials designed for longevity. To maintain the condition of your artwork, it is recommended to:

• Avoid direct, prolonged sunlight
• Keep artwork away from excessive humidity or moisture
• Use appropriate wall hanging support

All artworks are prepared with professional hanging wire, ready for display.
