Throughout school, art was never spoken about as a real career. It was something beautiful, perhaps even admirable—but never something you were meant to build a life around.

Yet at home, and deep within my heart, I quietly believed something different. I believed anything was possible.

A year before I was born, my grandmother—my mum’s mother—passed away. I never had the chance to meet her, but her presence has always been felt in my life. She wasn’t just a wonderful grandmother and a devoted mother; she was a truly gifted artist.

She painted landscapes with a grace that made them feel alive—rolling hills, quiet horizons, moments of nature that seemed to breathe on the canvas. Even today, I have rarely seen work that carries the same spirit.

Somewhere along the way, I believe a small part of her creative soul found its way to me.

I’m not here to prove the doubters wrong, or to convince the world that art can be a career. That isn’t what drives me.

I show up every day because I’m chasing a dream—one of creating work that travels far beyond my studio walls and is recognised across the world.

But more than anything, I paint for myself… and for her.

Every piece I create is my way of honouring the gift that was passed down to me. A small act of gratitude. A way to share happiness, colour, and positivity with others.

Because sometimes the most beautiful gifts in life are the ones that travel through generations.
